The International Conference-School for Young Scientists “Modern Problems of Applied Mathematics & Computer Science” will be held at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR), Dubna, near Moscow, Russia, on August, 22 – 27, 2012. It will be held under the auspices of the National Committee of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) and the International Coordination Committee for Computational Mathematics of the CIS Academies of Sciences, with financial support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.
The Conference-School is intended for young scientists and specialists involved in development of advanced methods of applied mathematics in topical problems of science and technology. The aim of the Conference is to increase participants’ professional level in the areas of efficient computing technologies, numerical simulation, programming methods and tools for modern high-performance multiprocessor computing systems.
The invited lecturers at the Conference comprise well-known scientists from Russia and the CIS, professors of leading universities and scientific institutions, members of academies of sciences. The School will provide the young participants with a wide range of opportunities for establishing personal contacts, for informal communications as well as discussions of scientific results with leading researchers.

Conference Venue
The Conference-School will take place at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, Moscow region, in its Recreation Centre “Ratmino” situated on the picturesque bank of the Dubna river near the town of Dubna. Dubna is located 130 km north of Moscow. There is a comfortable rail and bus communication between Moscow and Dubna.

Conference participants
Under- and post-graduate students, young scientists and specialists under 35.
The abstracts of the reports will be published as a booklet and will be presented on the conference site.
Proceedings
The best reports of young participants will be published in a special issue of the Journal «Mathematical Models and Computer Simulations (Matematicheskoe Modelirovanie)».
The deadline for the manuscript submission is October 1, 2012.
Permission for publication issued by the author’s home institution is requested at manuscript submission.

Arrival and registration
Registration of the participants of the Conference-School will be organized on August 22, 2012 in Dubna, Moscow region, at the “Dubna” hotel (Veksler St., 8) (see attached sketch map).
Time of registration: from 11-00 till 23-00.
The settling of the conference attendees in the “Ratmino” Recreation centre will be organized after the registration.
For the conference participants who will be staying in town, there will be organized a bus service to the “Ratmino” recreation centre from the “Dubna” hotel.

Transportation
Trains and buses from Moscow depart from the Savyolovsky Railway Terminal (Savyolovskaya Metro Station). A fifteen minute walk is needed to get the hotel “Dubna” from the Dubna Railway terminal (see attached sketch map).
